In this paper, novel applications of metamaterials composite structure in antenna engineering has been considered. Compared with the conventional materials, metamaterials exhibits some specific features which are not found in conventional materials. Some unique applications of these composite structures as an antenna substrate, superstrate, feed networks, phased array antennas, ground planes, antenna radomes and struts invisibility have been discussed.
