This analysis aimed to define the variations between petroleum-based diesel and biodiesel in the composition of combustion emissions and to determine whether the utilize of an emission meter would be a good adding to a possible laboratory setup. Via experimental monitoring of combustion emissions from all fuels and combinations with the help of a flue gas analyzer and a remaining biodiesel compliant combustion system, the team accomplished these objectives. In terms of biodiesel fuel proportions and nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide exhaust concentrations and temperature dependence of emission compositions, the team has established good trends.
